Event Information
The 2024 NJYS Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Saturday, March 2nd at the Pines Manor in Edison, NJ. During this meeting, elections will be held, in accordance with the NJ Youth Soccer Bylaws, for open positions on the Board of Directors (Executive Committee and Members-At-Large). In addition, NJYS intends to provide a forum to engage with and exchange ideas across the landscape, including breakout sessions, key note speakers, and partner activation opportunities. We hope to see you there!

Breakout Sessions
Representatives from the NYNJ and Philadelphia Host Committees will provide an update on efforts for the FIFA 2026 World Cup and introduce opportunities for NJYS members to be engaged in the future.
Danielle Valente will lead a presentation based around the Foundation’s innovative and accessible play spaces (mini-pitches or mini-soccer courts), and their programmatic portfolio that instills hope, fosters well-being, and helps youth achieve their fullest potential. NJYS members will learn about programs available to them!
Garrett Shea, founder of SSEC (a leading company in youth sports sponsorship), will lead a breakout session on generating revenue through club sponsorships and partnerships.
Dr. Sari Rose, USYS Senior Manager Grassroots will lead a breakout session illustrating the online resources USYS provides to support players, families, coaches, and clubs. Over the past two years, USYS has looked to create numerous educational opportunities through USYS University and etrainU. In addition, she will outline the various programs and materials USYS has developed in its efforts to support and grow the game at the grassroots level.
Danielle Valente, Athlete Member USYS Board of Directors, will lead a discussion based around the importance of younger perspectives in governance processes to make more informed decisions. NJYS members will learn about methods of youth inclusion, best practices and experiences to maximize the chances of institutionalizing these practices.
Breeana Cassidy, NJYS Program Manager, will facilitate a breakout group to provide updates on the Recreation Referee program and facilitate an open discussion about improvements within the program and future programming.
John Archibald, NJYS Consultant and CEO of Resolution Promotions, will lead a breakout group discussion about marketing strategy and engagement with NJYS members about improving communication and support.
Breeana Cassidy, NJYS Program Manager, will lead a breakout group about our Let’s Play programming to outline materials and development about the program, and also to discuss future programming.
NJYS will lead a discussion about engaging the Latino and Hispanic communities in the youth soccer landscape. The purpose will be to identify opportunities and to share ideas on how to best support these programs with collaborative services that help sustain long term growth and outreach.
Ryan Foley, NJYS Manager, Operations, will lead a breakout group discussing NJYS effort to create a comprehensive toolkit for club administration and operations. He will facilitate an exchange to learn what additional assets should be incorporated.
NJYS President, Jess Yeager, will host office hours to listen and learn about members’ ideas and feedback concerns. Jess will also use this forum to answer questions and provide insight about NJYS Strategy and Vision.
NJYS will release results from its strategic planning effort, including our updated Mission and Vision, Wildly Important Goals to guide us through the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as well an update on Board of Directors working groups.
Happy Hour/Reception
NJ Youth Soccer invites you to a happy hour on Friday night (March 1st) before the AGM from 7:00pm – 9:00pm at the Crowne Plaza Edison. Registration is required and may be completed during the general registration process.
We are eager to build our soccer community and provide this opportunity for representatives from the league, club, Staff Office, Board of Directors and NJYS Partners to meet and network. Beverages and light hor d’oeuvres will be served.

NJ Youth Soccer has a courtesy room block at the Sheraton Edison for $119 per night on Friday, March 1st.
