Sanctioned Tournaments
The Sanctioned Tournaments program allows members clubs that host tournaments to accept NJYS member passes and other US Soccer affiliated organizations for competition purposes. Additionally, NJYS provides the benefits of tournament listing and promotion and excess medical coverage for registered NJYS players and coaches.
Apply to Host a Tournament
Member Clubs and Leagues are eligible to apply to Host a Tournament or Games. US Soccer has established two types of tournaments that members can host:
- Unrestricted Tournaments are open to all members of the US Soccer community and foreign teams with permission from their National Association. Tournaments permitting foreign teams must submit an application to US Soccer.
- Restricted Tournaments are open only to teams that are members of US Youth Soccer and whose players have a valid US Youth Soccer player pass issued by one of the 55 member associations of US Youth Soccer.
Before you start your online tournament application please make sure you have the following information available. Once you exit the online application process you can not access it again to make changes/updates.
- Credit card number for payment
- Completed rules (including refund policy)
- Age groups
- Gender
- Roster Size
- Number of guest players allowed
- Length of games
- Number of players on the field
- Minimum number of games
- Entry fee
- Tournament website
- Tournament Logo
- Types of teams accepted
This application will produce a printable PDF of the traditional “Application to Host Tournament or Games” form and an electronically signed digital copy of the “Tournament or Game Hosting Agreement” upon state approval of the tournament. The tournament director entered on the form will receive an email notice upon application approval.

New Jersey Youth Soccer offers additional coverages, in excess of the tournament hosting agreements and fees.
