New Jersey Youth Soccer saw two more teams emerge victorious today at the US Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Championships, with The Football Academy Black (13U Boys) and Ironbound SC NAL Raiders (17U Boys) winning titles at the tournament in West Virginia. A total of five New Jersey teams were crowned champions at the regional competition, with The Football Academy Black (12U Girls), Torpedoes Red (16U Boys) and Cedar Stars North Elite 64 (19U Boys) also lifting the trophy for their age groups on Tuesday.
The Football Academy Black (13U Boys) won six consecutive matches at the Eastern Regional Championships, capping off their incredible run this morning with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Rhode Island Surf B2011 Elite Blue (RI) in the 13U Boys Final. The Football Academy Black opened play at the regional competition by winning their group on nine points before posting a 3-0 win over Coppermine SC Boys 2011 Elite 64 (MD) in the quarterfinals. They followed up that result with a 1-0 clean sheet over TAKOMA PARK 2011 BOYS (MD) in the semifinals before closing the book earlier today to win the 13U Boys Championship. By claiming that title, The Football Academy Black officially booked their reservation for the USYS National Championships later this month at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.
Also bringing a championship home to New Jersey is Ironbound SC NAL Raiders (17U Boys), who earned a 4-2 victory over IFA West 2007 Boys EDS (MA) this morning to lift the trophy for their age group. Ironbound SC won six straight games at the Eastern Regional Championships, first taking their group on three straight victories before they defeated SDA 2007B (NYW) in the quarterfinals, 3-0. They then rolled to a 6-1 result over WVFC 2007 Boys Black (WV) in the semifinals before solidifying their championship earlier today. Next up for Ironbound SC NAL Raiders is a trip to Orlando for the USYS National Championships.

The competition provides winners from each state with the opportunity to showcase their soccer skills against the best competition in the nation while emphasizing teamwork, discipline and fair play.
